Miami Beach Sr High Replacement: The first phase of construction, (Classrooms, Media Center, Fine Arts and Auditorium), is scheduled for occupancy for January 2008. Phase II of the project which includes the new gymnasium, cafeteria, and full renovation of the administration and science buildings is projected for completion in December 2009.
Aventura Waterways K-8 Center:
The new prototype K-8 school, with a capacity of 1642 student stations, is under construction and on schedule to open in August 2008. This school will relieve Virginia Boone/Highland Oaks Elementary, Madie Ives Elementary, and Highland Oaks Middle.
Broad/Bay Harbor El Addition: This project will provide 551 student stations for the K-8 conversion including a new music suite and dining facility; it is currently under construction and on schedule to open in August 2008. The concurrent construction of the Sunny Isles Beach K-8 will significantly relieve the existing overcrowding at this school. An Interlocal Agreement with the Town of Bay Harbor will provide parking for the school while preserving the open green space and facility use by the residents.

Southside Elementary Addition:
The planned expansion and partial renovation of this historically significant school in the Brickell area is currently in the design phase and planned for construction in the 2008-2009 fiscal year. The projected completion of this 826 student station facility will be during the 2009-2010 school year.
